Become A Member Today! Membership to the Fineview Citizens Council gives you a chance to vote on the Board of Directors who serve and make decisions for your community. Membership to FCC shall be on an annual basis starting in January and ending in December.
Fineview Citizens Council does the following:
- Provides a forum for the community of Fineview to meet and discuss community
issues. - Encourages and/or supports neighborhood development with other institutions
public and private (i.e. Housing that is affordable to low and moderate-income
persons.) - Encourages and/or supports the initiatives for youth of Fineview.
- Serves as a means of representation of residents, property owners, businesses
and organizations located in Fineview when interacting with city, county, state
and federal governments and other organizations that have an impact on the
community. - Promotes cooperation, equitable planning, development and sharing of resources
throughout the community.
MEMBERSHIP TYPES:
Granted to all persons residing in Fineview who meet Membership Requirements.
Resident Membership is defined as a person having their home in Fineview and that they intend to remain in that home. A Resident Member shall have the right to one (1) vote in the election of Directors or other matters otherwise brought before the entire Membership body to vote upon. A Resident Member shall attend at least one General Membership Meeting in the calendar year prior to the Annual Membership Meeting to have the privilege to vote for Directors at the Annual Membership Meeting.
Neighbor Membership
Granted to persons outside of Fineview. There are no voting rights for Neighbor
Members.
Business Membership
Granted to all businesses with their principal place of business located within Fineview
who meet Membership Requirements. A Business Member shall designate one delegate
who shall have the right to one (1) vote in the election of Directors or other matters
otherwise brought before the entire Membership body to vote upon. In the unavoidable
absence of a delegate, a Business Member shall have the privilege of sending an
alternate. A Business Member delegate shall attend at least one General Membership
Meeting in the calendar year prior to the Annual Membership Meeting to have the
privilege to vote for Directors at the Annual Membership Meeting.
Associate Business or Organization Membership
Granted to businesses or organizations outside of Fineview who meet Membership
Requirements. Associate Business or Organization Members have no voting rights.
Dues collected from Associate Business or Organization Members shall support waiving
of dues for Resident Members experiencing financial hardship.
Organization Membership
Granted to all recognized organizations in Fineview, which are of an educational, social,
civic, religious or fraternal nature. An Organization Member shall designate one delegate
who shall have the right to one (1) vote in the election of Directors or other matters
otherwise brought before the entire Membership body to vote upon. In the unavoidable
absence of a delegate, an Organization Member shall have the privilege of sending an
alternate. An Organization Member delegate shall attend at least one General
Membership Meeting in the calendar year prior to the Annual Membership Meeting to
have the privilege to vote for Directors at the Annual Membership Meeting.
Honorary Membership
Granted to individuals, businesses or organizations by the Board. Dues are waived for
Honorary Members. Honorary Members have no voting rights
